Electronics & Lighting
From technical components to optical components: we manufacture plastic solutions for applications that demand high levels of precision and performance.
De Beer Plastics manufactures components from engineering plastics for a range of leading European manufacturers. These range from carbon-filled materials for medium-voltage applications to cable management components for solar panels.
We manufacture millions of PC and PMMA lenses for the lighting industry every year. These lenses, with their complex shapes and critical tolerances, ensure perfect light output from sustainable LED luminaires worldwide.
Components for electrical applications require specialised, high-quality materials. Regulatory and safety requirements, moreover, place high demands on plastics. De Beer Plastics manufactures your products from these ‘challenging’ plastics, whilst adhering to the standards applicable to these critical components.
The quality and light output of LED lamps are achieved through high-quality optics. The lenses in these optics must be so precise that every LED produces the same light pattern. This is ensured by a complex interplay of mould design and manufacturing processes.
Energy-efficient, high luminous efficacy and a long service life: LEDs are the ideal light source. Thanks to their many advantages, LED lighting has a wide range of applications. De Beer Plastics manufactures lenses for outdoor lighting, the horticultural sector, sports lighting and linear lighting for the industrial and commercial sectors, amongst other things.
These lenses, also known as optics, play a key role in determining the quality and light distribution of LED lighting. As such, these optics are the most important components of a high-quality LED luminaire. Thanks to moulds developed in-house, De Beer Plastics ensures precision work, in both PMMA and PC, thereby achieving optimal performance from the end product.
The higher the voltage, the greater the demands placed on materials. Engineering plastics containing additives such as carbon ensure the correct conductive properties. And flame-retardant additives ensure that CE requirements are met. However, these additives and requirements also make plastics much more difficult to process.
The electrical industry makes use of many specialised raw materials, which De Beer Plastics has mastered down to the last detail thanks to years of experience. No guesswork, just solid expertise. That is the key to a successful project and a successful, long-term partnership.
The solar panel market is constantly evolving. To keep pace with regulations governing safe installations, new solutions are continually required in the areas of mounting and cable management. De Beer Plastics helps its customers stay ahead of the curve by adapting swiftly and flexibly to developments in the market and technology.
Thanks to our in-house mould-making facilities, we offer short development cycles, ensuring the shortest possible time-to-market. Scaling up to production volumes – even into the millions – is no problem at all thanks to De Beer Plastics’ extensive range of machinery.
Functional or aesthetic electronics enclosures demand the highest precision. Thanks to our experience and the use of advanced mould flow software, we know in advance where the challenges lie. Where should ribs be placed, and where should they definitely not be? And how do you prevent the walls of an enclosure from collapsing inwards? Our engineers work closely with your experts to create the best solution.
In addition to robust enclosures made from reinforced engineering plastics, we are also the right partner for protective covers made from thermoplastic elastomers (TPE). These can be produced separately or simultaneously in hard and soft versions on our 2K injection moulding machines.
The keys to successful collaboration in the electronics industry are high precision and stable production processes. That is why De Beer Plastics continuously invests in new machinery, ensuring that we always have the most modern and accurate technology at our disposal. This is essential if we are to compete with the leading players whom we are proud to count among our customers.
Our factories are also equipped with all the quality control tools you would expect from a modern injection moulding company. From precision 3D measuring machines and scanners to well-documented processes for production and quality control. Quality is no accident, but the result of choices and investments in both people and machinery.
