The quality and light output of LED lamps are achieved through high-quality optics. The lenses in these optics must be so precise that every LED produces the same light pattern. This is ensured by a complex interplay of mould design and manufacturing processes.
Opticians
Energy-efficient, high luminous efficacy and a long service life: LEDs are the ideal light source. Thanks to their many advantages, LED lighting has a wide range of applications. De Beer Plastics manufactures lenses for outdoor lighting, the horticultural sector, sports lighting and linear lighting for the industrial and commercial sectors, amongst other things.
These lenses, also known as optics, play a key role in determining the quality and light distribution of LED lighting. As such, these optics are the most important components of a high-quality LED luminaire. Thanks to moulds developed in-house, De Beer Plastics ensures precision work, in both PMMA and PC, thereby achieving optimal performance from the end product.
Plastics under high voltage
The higher the voltage, the greater the demands placed on materials. Engineering plastics containing additives such as carbon ensure the correct conductive properties. And flame-retardant additives ensure that CE requirements are met. However, these additives and requirements also make plastics much more difficult to process.

Enclosures
Functional or aesthetic electronics enclosures demand the highest precision. Thanks to our experience and the use of advanced mould flow software, we know in advance where the challenges lie. Where should ribs be placed, and where should they definitely not be? And how do you prevent the walls of an enclosure from collapsing inwards? Our engineers work closely with your experts to create the best solution.
In addition to robust enclosures made from reinforced engineering plastics, we are also the right partner for protective covers made from thermoplastic elastomers (TPE). These can be produced separately or simultaneously in hard and soft versions on our 2K injection moulding machines.
